* My discovery of a plantation in Baton Rouge called Magnolia Mound.
* My growing fascination of the shotgun houses as an evolutionary extension of the slave cottage.
* I am compelled by the strong sense of community that the individual neighborhoods in the city of New Orleans possesses and how places of worship often play a vital role in the building of these communities.
